Chapter of Excellence

In the year 2001, our new chapter was told not to worry about winning CEA in our first year of existence. Just starting a new chapter was tough enough. That is just the kind of challenge that the Dallas Chapter founder, Penny Puetz, needed to hear. Due to her vision and desire for excellence, we - all members over the last 6 years - are part of the recognition from across the country as one of the few chapters which has been designated as a Chapter of Excellence all 6 years of the program existence. A special thanks should be extended to all the previous chapter boards and presidents for their leadership and efforts involved in making our chapter a Chapter of Excellence. In addition to the cash awards given, there is also the honor of special seating at the EWGA Annual Conference. Chapters of Excellence get tables at the front of the ballroom and a banner displayed on the wall. Our 5th consecutive year earned us a table not only in the front, but front AND center.
Beginning in 2007, the EWGA will no longer award Chapter of Excellence awards, so the question is...what award will we bring home from the National Conference this year?
